Department of Veterinary Sciences – University of Turin (Italy)
The Department of Veterinary Sciences of the University of Turin combines expertise in veterinary medicine, animal health, pathology, veterinary forensic medicine, wildlife health and conservation, toxicology, molecular biology and related biomedical and environmental sciences. Its multidisciplinary research activities address animal and wildlife health, causes of mortality, human-induced threats to wildlife, diagnostic and forensic methodologies, and the interactions between animal health, biodiversity and the environment.
The Department is interested in European cooperation in wildlife conservation, veterinary and wildlife forensic sciences, biodiversity protection, wildlife mortality investigation, environmental crime, One Health, innovative diagnostic methodologies and the development of harmonised approaches supporting the implementation of EU environmental and nature legislation.
